Longtime friends of Ram Dass, they played a fundamental role in his Maui retreats, infusing gatherings with the Aloha spirit through their music and presence. They have now become friends with Paul and have become special guests at his retreat on Maui.

About The Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary
The Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary (also known as Hanuman Maui) was formed after Ram Dass left his body in December, 2019. Its mission is to uphold his teachings of love, service and devotion.
Ram Dass lived in his house in Haiku, Maui for over 14 years. During that time, his presence transformed it into a sacred space, a place to share unconditional love and devotion. During his years in the house, Ram Dass taught, held retreats, and offered podcasts and weekly Skype calls with his students. There was regular kirtan, meditation and special events at his home with the local satsang and visitors from throughout the world.
The vision of Hanuman Maui is to preserve Ram Dass's home as a spiritual sanctuary. They offer kirtan, retreats, workshops and other special events. The property hosts small mandir that serves as a house of prayer for devotees to connect with Hanuman, maharaji and the energies of unconditional love.
Ram Dass’s energy can still be experienced on the property. The Ram Dass Loving Awareness Sanctuary enjoys sharing this special sacred space with the spiritual community.

About Paul Selig
Born in New York City, Paul Selig attended New York University and received his master’s degree from Yale. A spiritual experience in 1987 left him clairvoyant. Today, he is regarded as one of the foremost contributors to the field of channeled literature, with 13 acclaimed books now in print, and he regularly offers workshops around the world.
A noted playwright and educator, Paul served on the faculty of NYU for over 25 years. He directed the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Goddard College for many years and sat on its Board of Trustees. He also serves on the faculty of the Kripalu Center and the Esalen Institute.
Paul now lives in Maui, where he maintains a private intuitive practice and offers frequent online workshops.
About Ram Dass
Ram Dass lived on Maui for 15 years beginning in 2004. He decided to make Maui his home base after recovering from a severe infection. He loved his home on Maui where he felt totally content. Ram Dass loved the nature, land, gardens, flowers and the water. He swam often in the pool and in the ocean. He gathered with satsang most Monday mornings at Kamaole I beach in Kihei where he led satsang chanting Oh Bouy, Oh Bouy, Oh Joy, Oh Joy in the water. This was followed by Hawaiian and Hindu chants, songs, poems and other forms of FUN in the water.
On Maui, Ram Dass continued to offer retreats, podcasts and weekly Skype calls with followers. Visitors came from all over the world, for short visits or personal retreats. Ram Dass participated in biannual 5-day residential retreats with his friends and colleagues. He also shared in workshops on ‘death and dying’, end of life care, Sufi gatherings and was available for those in need. He reached out to serve and help people whenever possible.
Ram Dass dropped his body on December 22, 2019 after a long bout with infection. Hanuman Maui was created in the home he so loved to continue his legacy. Ram Dass’s presence imbues the property and can be felt and experienced by all who visit.
